Responsabilities:

  • Manage virtual machines (VMs), including creating/restoring snapshots and troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Configure private endpoints and implement Private Link DNS, working closely with external teams.
  • Prepare and troubleshoot Terraform code to deploy VMs in line with customer standards.
  • Oversee and manage Azure Backups, including troubleshooting failed backups and performing restores.
  • Monitor monthly Azure spending, identifying cost anomalies, and taking appropriate action on unused resources.
  • Deploy, configure, and update HCI nodes and clusters following established company standards.
  • Manage Azure Policy compliance, addressing non-compliant resources or proposing updates to Azure Policy frameworks.
  • Follow up on security alerts from Microsoft Defender and service issues within Azure.
  • Work with external teams on new landing zone setups, ensuring alignment with infrastructure requirements.
  • Maintain Data Collection Rules for HCI monitoring and troubleshoot hardware issues with xClarity.
  • Script repetitive tasks using PowerShell to improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop reports using Resource Graph Explorer and utilize basic KQL for querying logs.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot runbooks to ensure operational continuity.
  • Provide expertise on Azure networking components including Network Security Groups (NSGs), Application Security Groups (ASGs), load balancers, and application gateways.

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Azure infrastructure management, including VM creation, snapshots, and backup management.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for VM deployments and troubleshooting failed deployments.
  • Experience with Azure networking and security, particularly Hub/Spoke topology, NSGs, ASGs, and Load Balancers.
  • Familiarity with Azure Policies and remediation practices.
  • Knowledge of HCI clusters, including configuration, deployment, and monitoring via Windows Admin Center.
  • Basic understanding of KQL and the ability to create reports using Resource Graph Explorer.
  • Competency in PowerShell scripting for automation and maintenance tasks.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, especially in performance and security monitoring.
  • Familiarity with cost management in Azure and the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Terraform Certification (preferred but not mandatory)
