What You'll Do:

  • Design and implement DSP algorithms across ARM, VLIW, SIMD/vector DSPs, and proprietary accelerators
  • Refine algorithm definitions and support floating-point to fixed-point conversions with the Algorithm team
  • Develop performance-critical kernels using chip-specific intrinsics and vector operations
  • Analyze compiler output and optimize code through assembly review and profiling
  • Build complete DSP processing pipelines in multi-processor/multi-core real-time environments
  • Optimize system-level performance including scheduling, memory usage, and latency constraints
  • Debug performance, numerical stability, and real-time correctness issues
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across multiple engineering teams

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years implementing DSP algorithms in production systems
  • Experience optimizing DSP software on VLIW, SIMD/vector processors, or ARM platforms
  • Low-level performance optimization expertise with chip-specific intrinsics
  • Real-time embedded software development in multi-core environments
  • MATLAB and Python experience for algorithm work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with DSP platforms: Xtensa, Hexagon, CEVA, or proprietary processors
  • High-rate signal processing for sensor/perception systems (radar, lidar, camera, audio)
  • RTOS, real-time scheduling, and synchronization knowledge
  • SoC integration familiarity (memory hierarchy, DMA, cache, accelerators)
  • Automated testing and performance regression tracking experience
